March with Democrats in the Libertyville Days Parade

Do you want to march with fellow Democrats in the Libertyville Days Parade on Saturday, June 14? Or maybe you’d like to check out at the Libertyville Township Democrats’ booth on Friday and/or Saturday, June 13-14, in Cook Park?

To join the parade, gather with the Libertyville Township Democrats group at the Metra Station parking lot on Milwaukee Avenue at 9:30am for a 10am parade step-off. The parade will go south on Milwaukee Avenue, past Libertyville’s downtown.

You’re also welcome to drop by our Libertyville Days Booth to chat with Democratic officeholders and browse our button selection. Our booth is near Cook Memorial Library, facing Cook Street. Signing up for a shift on either Friday or Saturday (June 13-14) is a great way to meet fellow Democrats. Please email us if you’d like to help.

We’ll be fine-tuning our Libertyville Days plans at our Thursday, June 5, meeting. Our meeting is at 7pm at Aspen Drive Library, 701 N. Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills. If you can’t attend the meeting, but would like to march or help out at our booth, please email libertyvilledems@gmail.com.

Many Democrats and others have been voicing their alarm at extreme Republican policies by participating in protests in Illinois and beyond. Please check our Events listing to keep up-to-date with the protests and other Democratic events throughout Lake County.

Libertyville Township Democrats are volunteers working to elect Democrats at local, state, and national levels—the official Democratic Party organization in Libertyville Township, Illinois. Despite the name, the township borders extend well beyond the village of Libertyville to include parts of Mundelein, Vernon Hills, Green Oaks, Mettawa, and Lake Forest. (See the township map.)

The municipal elections are behind us, with a mix of wins and losses for Democratic-friendly candidates. Election results are on the Lake County Clerk’s website here.
